All the shells in the new version of this kit are labeled. Many of the effects incorporate different variations of the rain effect. This is a really nice idea because each shell has at least a two stage effect. For example, the golden willow w/timed rain shell has a really nice drizzling golden willow which time delays to a large spread of "popcorn" crackle.
This kit also includes a number of multi-colored scrambling comet shells. These are always a crowd pleaser. Most of the shells offered in this kit are unlike any other available on the 1.4g market to date.

Nice shells with beautiful Grucci effects. With 20 different effects in each box, this is an incredible deal. Much better than the standard consumer stuff.

I will say that the cannister style shells have better and more impressive effects than the ball style shells, but they're all still nice effects.

I purchased 40 NYHS shells to be part of my finale of 200 shots. I put them in with my Excal's and Grizzly Quad Breaks.

The shells aren't big at all, they dont go very high, the breaks left a lot to be desired, and there's WAY too much crackle - it's like 3 out of 4 shells had some sort of crackle effect. I could actually tell the difference when a NYHS shell shot out of a tube and when one of the other shells shot out.

I wont be buying these again. I'd much rather pay for the Grucci tubes or maybe the Grucci cakes.

I bought two boxes of these shells with the BOGOF deal, and I am very impressed with these shells, there isn't much color, but that is what the other mortar kits are for, these have a nice big break with a lot of crackle and glitter effects, very worth the money.

I am used to excalibers and was told these were good shells but was very unhappy. Could have bought alot cheaper shell with similar performance.

Better then most 1.4 Ball and Cylinder shells but for the same price you could get Excaliburs or other better shells. Only reason I got them was because I got 3 kits for $100. Would recomend if you could get a deal because they are decent.

I shot a few of these kits this year. Each kit had a different type of mortar in it but all bought at same location at same time. Some were heavy cardboard, some were cheap thin cardboard, and out of 6 kits, I got 1 fiberglass mortar.

Colors are ok, so are breaks, they are a little low for my liking though.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): vaiety of shells and color
Cons: not huge breaks
Height: 101 To 150 Feet
Break: Small
Medium
Large
Symmetrical
Asymmetrical
Intensity: Loud
Crowd Pleaser?: Yes
Bang For The Buck?:

this is a nice combination of ball and canister shells, the canister shells go a bit higher and have more "oomph" to them than the ball shells, the breaks seem to be more symmetrical than other kits out there although they are smaller, the colors are more vivid than other kits as well as the variety of breaks, if you look for effects and color; this will give you that...personally i get tired of hearing how excals are the best and everything in mortars are compared to them, i know these are not excals, however they are a very nice addition to a show

Positive aspects of the product (pros): once you shoot them you never have to buy them again ;) I will say the breaks were pretty symmetrical...
Cons: price weak lift not very high not what i expected rambos blew these away
Height: 51 To 100 Feet
Break: Small
Medium
Large
Symmetrical
Asymmetrical
Intensity: Loud
Crowd Pleaser?: Yes
Bang For The Buck?: No

Not a bad shell in general... but for the price no way.... maybe if you can get 3 boxes for 100 they might be somewhat worth it. Just not at all top shelf or in the ball park of snm excal pp7 or even close... its a good shell just not good enough.

These are good shells, loud and colorful. Anything made by Grucci is good. I wish Phantom would bring down the price a little bit : )~
