14 tubes. The performance was as the manufacturer describes. Transition between effects was smooth and without delay. The finale was exactley like Lava Lamp. The FOA video depicted a stronger, higher lava finale. If the finale was beefed up to the level of Big Balls in height, it would be 3X better.
Overall, this is a good 500 gram fountain that I would price shop in the future.
