Description: The most popular of the ounce rockets. They, like all of the Black Cat ounce rockets, are consistent in their quality and performance.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): consistant performers, decent effects, better than generic cone tips
Cons: nothing special- just a basic rocket
Height: 101 To 150 Feet
Break: Small
Intensity: Average
Crowd Pleaser?: Yes
Bang For The Buck?: Yes

I shot these 12 or 13 years ago, so they may have changed...

A decent "starter" rocket for those just beginning the hobby, or for those just wanting some decent rockets to shoot. They don't compare to any of the top shelf rockets of today, but do have good flight, and decent bursts. They all work. Good variety of fx, too.

After shooting these, and liking them, I have tried several other brands of the 8oz cone tips. All were disappointing. Most are cheaply made and very underpowered. Some are actually dangerous, as they go up 20 ft or so and crash before the burst! The Shogun ones fall in this category, as do some of the generic Thunderbird super 8's. Those that do work, go up SO high, that the already small burst is completely insignificant. mostly red and green stars with some crackle or lady fingers.

If you want the 8oz-ers, stick with the Black Cats!
