I started PyroReview in July of 2004 - how time flies. Unfortunately, this is also about the same time I found out that my mother had lung cancer. In fact, I found out about two days before the 4th of July that year. Sadly, I lost my mother to cancer in 2006, and since then have also lost two uncles, a great uncle and a cousin to cancer as well. Needless to say, this put a big toll on my life and had me contemplating the future of many projects I had been working on during that time. Unfortunately, a lot of those projects were put to the wayside, including PyroReview.com.
However after an extended hiatus, lots of meditation and a little help from my doctor, life has started returning to
somewhat normal.
With this being said, I have decided to return to the helm, so to speak, at PyroReview.com.
* All current and recently expired (within the last twelve months) advertisers will get six (6) months of free advertising.
Please contact me via PM if you are interested in taking part in this. New advertising rates will be coming out in the near future.
* The site will be moved to a new server again. The new server will have nearly a terabyte of storage so there will be a lot of room for videos and pictures. Additionally, the @pyroreview.com email isn't functioning properly now, and after several attempts to get it fixed (and lack of support from our current host on getting it fixed), I decided it was time to move the site. The new host has MUCH better support.
* I am in the process of working with a programmer on a totally new and updated review software package.
* I am also working on getting the gallery software replaced.
* The site will be split up into several different domains - PyroReview.com (for the reviews and gallery), PyroVideos.com (for the videos which will be separate from the gallery), PyroForums.com (for the forums). The single login, however, will still work for all of the sites.
* PyroReport.com will most likely return, but will be after I get all of the other changes put in place.
It will probably be several months before all of this is completed.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Please note that my email address, bryan@pyroreview.com, is not currently functioning properly. If you would like to send me an email, please send it to pyroreview@gmail.com.
Thanks!
